Tri Technologies is unsurpassed in workmanship and uses only high quality materials and components. Equipment quality is maintained by on site welding, fabrication, panel assembly, electrical wiring and final assembly. The base frame of the BP-2400L is made of heavy duty structural tubular steel. The 2400 liter capacity expansion vessel is constructed of stainless steel with a door and sight glass. The specially designed agitator is removable through the door for ease of maintenance. The agitator is powered by a 10 HP Baldor Motor and heavy duty Winsmith Gear Reducer and is protected from shutdown by an amperage limit control integrated with the PLC. The Expanders control system is housed in a free standing Rittal Console and includes a Mitsubishi PLC and Exor Uniop operator interface. The operator can input target weight, steam pressure, and shot size. Most program timers are accessible through the operator interface. The interface also allows the operator to save specific recipes for each material and target weight and recall them by program number. Raw material is input by weight which is monitored by two load cells on an all aluminum weigh hopper and controlled by the PLC. Expansion in the pressure vessel is controlled by a highly accurate Vega vibratory sensor. If less than a full vessel is preferred for higher weight materials, a moveable proximity sensor is used. The vessel floor is aluminum with perforated stainless steel screens for maximum steam penetration. Screen perforations are .009 diameter allowing A, B, or C bead to be run in the vessel. Material is discharged through an eight inch diameter gun in the floor of the vessel. Material density is measured by an automatic density scale which is integrated with the PLC. The operator interface provides material density, shot weight, steam time, and total cycle time for the last 16 cycles. This information is also automatically printed out on the system printer.
