COMPUTER CONTROLLED CONTOUR CUTTER MODEL: BU-1040 (2 AXIS)
Cutting accuracy, combined with mechanical performance and reliability, means you get high-quality results from the BU-1040 Computer Controlled Contour Cutter. The base frame is made of heavy duty structural tubular steel with aluminum harp and carriage. A micro stepper drive with 25,000 pulses per revolution with a minimum backlash reducer of .001" on a 3" radius assures precision cutting and reliability. The unit is motion controlled by a Parker 6K Processor with an Eason 1000 remote interface for jog and program execution making it feasible to download onto numerous machines thus eliminating the need for a PC at each cutting station. Precise tracking of both axes is provided by high quality Thomson shafts and linear bearings.
This system can do it all…taking an untrimmed block of foam, contouring it, cutting it to length and width, and down cutting it…all on one machine, in one location, to reduce material handling.
Production can be doubled on pieces with one flat and one contoured surface by using the convenient drag wire option. Computer control means that drag wire temperatures are regulated according to the motion of the contour cutting wires.
Harp positioning is simplified by use of a hand-held remote control. Both the contour harp and the drag harp will handle up to 70 wires each. The optional wire package can add even more versatility to your contour cutting.
