COMPUTER CONTROLLED RECIRCULATING WIRE CUTTER MODEL: 1040REC For high quality results with materials other than EPS including most rigid and flexible foams, urethanes, expandable polypropylene and polyethylene, and phenolic materials, the 1040REC “Foamcutter” provides fast, efficient and economical cutting with a recirculating wire. Cutting accuracy and efficiency are provided by high quality mechanical performance coupled with an operator friendly, cad integrated, motion control system. The machine’s heavy duty construction includes a welded tubular steel frame with an aluminum cutting harp. Mechanical motion is accomplished by high quality linear shafts and bearings that allow the harp to move while the material remains stationary providing a high degree of accuracy and repeatable cuts. Cutting is accomplished by a high speed, endless abrasive wire driven by an AC Inverter. Many safety features are incorporated into the machine to make its operation safe for your operator. Motion is controlled by the Tri Technologies 6200 Cutting System utilizing motion control components from Parker Compumotor. This system allows parts design to be done either at the machine or in an office environment on a separate PC and then downloaded to the motion controller. Because of the separation of design and operation, your part designer can continue designing while the machine operates. A user friendly operator interface is provided for easy operation at the machine. The proprietary motion control software that integrates with any DXF format file, such as those produced by Autocad, allows for motion speed changes to insure accurate cuts in corners without loosing speed in straight cuts. Repeating cuts (looping) is also possible. BENEFITS AND OTHER FEATURES ? All motion control software is provided to convert DXF or Corel Draw files to motion. ? Cut programs are downloaded across RS232 connections to the Processor allowing you to use your PC while cutting occurs. ? Compatible with Windows software. ? Hand held / panel mounted remote control unit. ? Wire speed on small areas and wire pausing can be controlled by the part designer in the cut program. ? Standard width is 4 feet wide with lengths of 8, 12, and 16 feet available. ? Design software can be purchased as an option.
