COMPUTER CONTROLLED CONTOUR CUTTER MODEL: BU-1040 RETROFIT The BU-1040-6KR Contour Cutter Retrofit is designed to improve both part design capability and operating efficiency of the BU-1040 Contour Cutter. The system separates the design function from the operating function. This allows part design to be done on a separate computer located away from the machine and into a more design friendly environment, should you wish to do so. By separating the two functions, part design and part cutting can be done simultaneously. The operating function is provided by an operator interface that is located at the machine. The interface has been designed to be as user friendly as possible to allow less skilled labor to be trained to operate the machine. The 6K Controller is built for and industrial environment and is located at the machine. It is capable of communicating with the design computer by means of and RS232 or ethernet connection. Programs can be designed in a DFX format file and downloaded to the controller for execution. Depending on program size, because of the nature of the files when downloaded, a number of files can be stored at the machine simultaneously, allowing you to download less often. The 6KR System also provides enhancements over the Tri Technologies 6200 Controller and can be retrofit to other manufacturers' contour cutters as well. Other system features are outlined below.
